Lincoln University men’s basketball continued its Florida road stretch with a matchup against Eckerd College, but despite a competitive effort, the Lions came up short in an 71-83 decision inside the McArthur Center. With the loss, Lincoln drops to 2–6 on the season and will look to regroup as they return home.
Bonard Johnson paced the Lions’ offense with an efficient scoring performance, finishing with 21 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including three makes from beyond the arc, while adding 3 rebounds. Justin Morgan (Durham, NC) delivered a strong two-way outing, posting 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting to go along with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. Jordan Sanders (Atlanta, GA) added another well-rounded effort, contributing 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist.
As a team, Lincoln shot a solid 48 percent from the field (24–50), but struggled to maintain consistent ball movement, committing 20 turnovers that proved costly in key stretches of the matchup.
